Future Pensions Act (WTP)

Staying in control

Our consultants, project managers and pension specialists support several (self-administering) pension funds, pension administration organisations and asset managers to realise one of the biggest system changes in the Dutch pension sector thoroughly and compliantly.

Particularly as the delivery date of the implementation plan approaches, finalisation of decision-making, adequate implementation, close cooperation between chain parties and safeguarding in the new operation are necessary.

Depending on your issue, we bring together different disciplines and substantive knowledge. We do this by deploying teams that deliver an integral solution, or by deploying experts in key positions.

Implementation services

Strategic review Wtp project
By providing a clear and comprehensive overview of the current status of your WTP project, we help identify areas for improvement. This ensures that you and your chain partners are taking the right steps toward a successful WTP implementation. Leveraging our expertise and experience from previous projects, we analyze opportunities for enhancement and develop a concrete action plan with clear, step-by-step recommendations. Should you wish, we can also take on the implementation of (parts of) this plan, ensuring that everything proceeds smoothly and efficiently.
Check compliance with Wtp regulations
With our centralized, user-friendly checklist, you can effortlessly navigate the necessary actions for WTP compliance, making it easy to track your progress. Our Ruler software features a dedicated module that quickly provides insights into the compliance activities of your WTP program. This tool not only delivers clear insights but also acts as a powerful management instrument, simplifying the monitoring and follow-up processes for required actions. You can assign tasks directly to team members or chain partners, ensuring that compliance is managed smoothly and efficiently.
Executive change programme Wtp
By specializing in managing complex change programs within the financial sector, we ensure that your organization successfully navigates transitions. Our experienced program and project managers excel in leading large, multi-year, multidisciplinary, and knowledge-intensive projects. With change management as a core aspect of our approach, we empower your employees to thrive in the new environment post-transition. We also offer specialized support tailored to your project needs, including program and project managers, PMOs, business analysts, and test managers. By covering all essential project roles, we take full responsibility for delivery and facilitate seamless collaboration both within your organization and with supply chain partners. Our primary focus is to establish and maintain complete control over your WTP implementation. This includes implementing rigorous governance, maintaining a thorough audit trail, and ensuring comprehensive documentation, all of which contribute to a successful and efficient transition.
Quality assurance implementation and communication plan
Pension funds, insurers, and premium pension institutions that adjust their scheme to the WTP must submit a communication plan to the AFM. We assist in drafting the communication plan and/or implementation plan, or we review these documents before submission to the regulator.
Adaptation of processes and systems
To ensure that your employees are fully prepared for the new WTP implementation, we manage and oversee the entire process from start to finish. This includes drafting detailed requirements, defining test scenarios, setting up quality controls, and conducting (automated) tests of the new solution. By working closely with your operational teams, we ensure that their insights and experiences are integrated into the implementation process. As we progress, we continuously evaluate the efficiency of your existing processes and systems. When we identify areas for improvement, we develop targeted solutions to optimize workflows and enhance speed. Our findings and progress are presented through interactive dashboards, offering you clear insights into the implementation status. We begin our approach with a thorough analysis of your current situation, which we then compare with your desired outcomes. This enables us to establish precise requirements that guide our work. From there, we focus on detailed design and necessary adaptations of your processes and systems. Whenever possible, we implement process improvements directly within your operations, collaborating with your employees to ensure the changes are practical and effective. We also define relevant test scenarios and establish the quality checks necessary for a successful rollout. Finally, we conduct the actual (automated) testing with a strong emphasis on user acceptance and IT integration, including performance and security. This comprehensive approach not only prepares your employees for the upcoming changes but also lays a solid foundation for a successful WTP implementation.
Data quality and data migrations
Our aim is to strategically improve data quality, facilitating inward migration while supporting pension funds in their transition to new administration systems. To accomplish this, we start with a thorough assessment of data quality to identify any underlying issues. For inward migration, we utilize the Pension Federation’s six-step plan, which provides a structured framework to ensure data integrity. For system migrations, we apply the Data Quality Life Cycle model, enabling us to systematically address data quality challenges throughout the migration process. We then outline specific improvement actions and rigorously test their effectiveness, focusing on both immediate migration needs and the long-term efficiency of the new administration systems. Collaboration is vital; we carry out these improvement activities in close partnership with your employees to ensure a seamless integration of new practices. Our approach is designed not only to achieve immediate outcomes but also to foster continuous improvement in data quality even after the WTP transitions are complete. A crucial component of this strategy is the establishment of a robust control model within your IT landscape, which facilitates ongoing monitoring of progress and ensures that data quality enhancements are sustained over time. Through this comprehensive strategy, we aim to provide your organization with the necessary tools and insights to maintain high data quality standards throughout the migration process and beyond.
Wtp awareness and training
Improving employees’ understanding of the WTP enables them to grasp and adapt to the changes in their daily tasks effectively. To accomplish this, a customizable white-label WTP training program is provided, catering to both beginner and advanced learners. This program can be tailored to fit specific needs, allowing for scalability, selection of relevant topics, and the incorporation of client-specific content. Training is delivered via the Ministry of Compliance learning platform, which integrates seamlessly into existing training environments. This integration enhances the learning experience and enables effective monitoring of participants’ progress. Detailed reports through dashboards allow for tracking engagement and learning outcomes. In addition, interactive masterclasses focusing on specific WTP topics are offered, designed for smaller groups. These sessions encourage in-depth discussions and provide targeted insights, ensuring employees are well-prepared to manage the changes brought about by the WTP. Through this comprehensive training approach, the workforce is empowered with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in their roles within the evolving landscape.
